This initial treatment allows extra time for the consultation so we can get a thorough understanding of your unique case and recovery.  Please expect to be at the office for up to two hours, with 60-90 minutes of table time.  
This visit also includes the option for assistance with compression garment fitting and foams.

There are many different forms of post op massage, and I treat very gently and conservatively  for the first 2-4 weeks of recovery, primarily using the Vodder MLD technique.  https://vitalsparkpdx.com/post-op-care 

Alternatively, you may schedule a complimentary consultation before your first visit so we can make sure we are a good fit, and to ensure communication before your first appointment at base price.  Consultations can be done in office, by phone or by video chat, and you can schedule below under Post Op Services.  If you come in for a lymphatic service PRE-OP (so beneficial!) this also allows you to jump right into treatment at standard pricing.  

Please note, as a massage therapist, I cannot:
-Help you use the restroom
-Help you on and off of the table (I do have an electric lift table and a step)
-Help you in and out of your garment

You are more than welcome to bring a caretaker to your appointment, otherwise please wait until you are able to do these things on your own.  

Your initial visit may be put towards a discounted package for consistent care during your recovery.  Every case is different, but I like to see post op clients at least once or twice a week for the first six weeks.  Please prioritize a healthy diet, rest, and quality compression over massages --- lympahtic massage will support, not replace, these key elements in recovery.   

I am lenient on my cancellation policy for the first 4 weeks post op.  You are going through a lot!  For cancellations within 48 hours, you will be charged a $25 fee that can be used as a deposit for a future session within 6 weeks.  For same day cancellations, you will be charged the full service fee that can be used as a deposit towards a future session within 6 weeks.  For no-shows, you wil be charged the full service price.
